I am Rufus Gibbs. And I am Diane Gibbs. What made me decide to buy a property in the lease. I watched a ton of videos out there with Will from the RE/MAX team, partnered with, the first one I watched was he was partnered with a well-known guy. I won't call his name, but you'll see him out there as well. I started watching that and then I started just doing my research for the different areas I thought I'd wanted to be in, Jamaica, Barbados. But I settled on Belize because it was just something beautiful about what I was seeing online, about the people and the culture. So that really sparked my interest.

And the reason why I jumped on board with his idea is because it was a vision that God gave Rufus many years ago. And he's talked about it for years. And I wasn't quite sure if I wanted to live abroad for any length of time, especially to own property abroad. but coming here and seeing it, him explaining the process to me, us meeting our agent Morris really made the process easy and I know this was God-given so I jumped on board. We were blessed with our agent Morris. He was just phenomenal from start to finish. Very personal, very knowledgeable. He wasn't trying to sell me something to say, hey, we got this grand vision, and we're trying to get everybody to come to Belize.

It was none of that. It was more of, okay, you kind of know what you want to do. Let me guide you towards what I think was in the realm of possible. So from everything from financing to building to connecting us with Kai, he was just there to answer us so we can make an informed decision about what it is we wanted to do here on the island. And it's different when you communicate via Zoom and email and telephone calls. To meet Morris in person was everything he portrayed via phone calls and meetings we had prior to. As a boy mom and a boy grandmom, my spirit connected with his. And I know he's compassionate. He's very honest. He's caring. And that comes through.

And everything he does, he doesn't rush you, takes his time, and you feel at ease with him. Our connection is lifelong, and it's not for this period of time so that assurance gives us confidence that we can continue to move forward and have many more years to enjoy in Belize.
