Rusty and Terra had long imagined retiring somewhere in the Caribbean. After exploring other destinations, including Bonaire, they were drawn to Ambergris Caye for its slower pace, golf-cart lifestyle, friendly people, and access to the diving they love. Their path to Mahogany Bay happened almost by chance. During their first trip to Belize, they repeatedly met people who were building homes on the island and a chance encounter at a bar eventually introduced them to Dylan from RE/MAX Belize. After later walking into the office and meeting Ruben, everything began to come together. Today, Rusty and Terra are building their own home in Mahogany Bay Phase 2 and say the experience gave them not only realtors, but new friends.
